Biography:
In 2005, Tim Spicer met Nathan O’Halloran, in the back yard of a typical bean stinking student house in Parkville. After a brief guitar jam encounter, the two formed a 6 piece band called Monstereo (later, Adventure Kid). After 2 years of struggling with the logistics of the 6 piece, they decided to set up a salubrious side project and Junior jr was born. Armed with a myspace page and a dodgy version of Cubase (music recording program), the nerdy journey began in earnest.
Over the years Tim And Nathan have developed a unique working relationship. With the use of email, skype, morse code and smoke signals they have preservered through the obstacle of geography to form a musical style that focusses on the recording, looping and tweaking of live instruments.
Junior jr have begged, borrowed and bought there way to capturing live Vocals, Guitars, Bass guitar, Keys, Piano, Mandolin, Roland SH101 synth, Omni chord, Sticks, Percussion, Harmonica, Midi, Vibraphone, Sampler, Saw, Violin and various home hardware appliances on the album.
Junior jr are looking forward to a year of live gigging and with the second studio album underway, are set for another release later in 2010.
